Welcome to my classes, here you will find all the information you need about the variety of specialist cancer classes I run. If you are new here and wish to join any of these classes please book a consultation as soon as possible to avoid any delays in starting. Following your appointment, you can start classes whenever you feel ready.

FOJO Fitness

The classes are for any cancer types apart from breast. Participants can start or continue throughout treatment and after to assist with the rehabilitation process. The classes consist of prolonged mobilisation warmups, a main circuit-based section followed by cool down stretches and relaxation. The main focus within these classes are mobility, strengthen and social interaction.

Can’ Milon

For those who have previously attended a cancer class. These classes consist of a generalised group warm up then while waiting to enter the machine-based circuit, we do functional exercises that will help with day-to-day living.

Before joining the class you will require an induction to the machines to set your specific programme tailored to your ability, measurements and training level taking into account anything medical conditions or injuries. Read more about Milon here

Can’ Pilates

For those who have previously attended an ABC/Macmillan Pilates class. These classes develop on from the beginner Pilates level to introduce more intermediate moves as well as build on the complexity of the beginner level or maintenance.

Macmillan Pilates

Pilates originated in 1920 for physical rehabilitation. The classes consist of the six key principles: concentration, control, centring, breathing, flow and precision, which enables you to learn to move with maximum efficiency while minimising stress on the body. It is perfect for developing core strength and body alignment. This class is also suitable for those with no past experience required, able to get down to the floor and up.

I have additional qualifications in ‘Pink Ribbon’ (breast cancer) & Shoulder Rehab Pilates specialism.

ABC Fitness

The classes are specifically for participants who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, wanting to start or continue to exercising from diagnosis onwards. If participants feel able to, they can exercise throughout treatment and 6 weeks post surgery in order to assist with their on going/rehabilitation process. The classes consist of a prolonged mobilisation warm ups, the main section is circuit-based followed by a cool down with stretches . The main focus within these classes are upper body mobility, strengthen and social interaction however, we also do a whole body approach.

Tuesday 2 pm to 3 pm

ABC Pilates

These classes are for anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Participants can start or continue exercising from diagnosis onwards. If participants feel able to, they can exercise throughout treatment and 6 weeks post surgery in order to assist with their ongoing or rehabilitation process. Ideally participants are able to get down to the floor and up, if not chairs can be provided.

Personal Training

One-to-one sessions where I can focus 100% on your own specific needs. These sessions will also suit you if you are minimise contact with others due to infection control as well as if you do not like groups of people.
